Is it just me or does the 1954 part look bigger than the other? Maybe it's just a trick of the lens.

At some point I will need to get a couple of these vents to replace mine, as they were missing when I got the car. The question I have is would the '54 part be the right one for a '54 Clipper. It seems that a lot of the parts on the '54 Clipper were leftovers from '53.

The car is for sale on the forums: https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=25211.

He made a series of videos chronicling getting the car up and running. Overall looks like a nice survivor. With a bit more work it could really turn out nice, particularly the interior.

I watched the videos, and linked to one of them in a different thread. I didn't realize that you had made them.

Looks like a really nice survivor that cleaned up nicely. Interior looks pretty nice as well. Good project car for someone!

There are several pictures but not a picture that gives you a good view of the whole car. I love boattails, but not on 1938 Packards and up. 1937 and earlier senior cars I think it looks great when it's done right.

You're right, I see the additional pictures now. Only one pulled up for me when I looked earlier today. But my internet has had issues off and on all day so it must've timed out. Definitely looks a little different on the back end of that car. I think it would look nicer if the whole rear lid had a gentle continuous slope without the boat shape, similar to a business coupe.

That's some serious lime green on the engine. Interior looks nice, and always a fan of Packard yellow on the exterior.

That 1940 boattail looks awkward, maybe it is the angle of the camera

Only one picture of it? Most of the other cars had several. Some different things on that car....a split front bumper? Can't say I like the huge horns on the fender either. I've never been big on boat tails anyways.

Still, some nice early 50's examples there. A couple of those would make great project cars for someone.

That's quite the collection, with some good cars for sale and many for decent prices. The black '51 Patrician for 11K is a good example. It doesn't look like it would take much more than the standard tune up and fluid replacements, plus a good wash, and someone would have themselves an excellent car. If I wasn't so neck-deep in building a shop I would be seriously tempted.

The '52 Mayfair, the tan '51 convertibles, and the '56 Patricians all caught my eye as well.

My wife says I don't need another Packard. I disagree.

That looks great. What's your process for painting the interior pieces? Did you strip them down to bare metal? What kind of primer, etc?

I'm going to be doing the same to everything but my dash as soon as it warms up. I've never really painted before.

I watched the Vice Grip Garage one. The sound was out of sync for most of the video which made it tough to watch. But cool video nonetheless, glad to see more exposure for Packards.

Here's one that just popped up on my feed: https://youtu.be/eXuWg6R2XQk.

I haven't watched it yet, so can't comment much on it. But it does look like it's pretty in-depth (an hour long) and the chapters address different parts he is restoring.

Congrats! I'll bet that's a nice feeling to have the powerplant back in the car.

The engine turned out great. I'm slightly jealous of how nice it looks....and the clean/painted frame.
