Going west to visit the Steel Menagerie this coming week. Nothing past a bit of organizing will get done, but it'll be nice to talk to Fred about how things are going.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Looks like the same ad in both links Wat. Is this the second car? Second '48 Packard ad

Plus......same seller also has a '55 Packard Patrician: '55 Packard Patrician

What? Are you trying to tell me that I screwed up the links? Of all the . . . .

Yeah, that's the other one.

By the way, I saw a couple of minutes of the video, and it was a lot clearer and lighter than the auction company's pics.

I don't know, making a profit is the 'Murrikan Way. Besides, they had to go get that stuff and haul it home. That's what I'd have been doing earlier this week if I had actually competed for a car. But it's my money, and I scored a way better car after all.

Her ears give her away.

That car is parts. The floors and rockers are shot and there isn't a straight fender on it. A rusty bucket.

I didn't intend to get into any 282s but now I have three.

Came to terms with the guy with the '46 sedan for sale in VA. Car has the best bones of any I have laid eyes on and/or bought. Translation: solid at the bases of the A-pillars. But here's the neat part: a solid trunk floor!!! It runs, drives, stops, and the electrics work, even the clock. I don't count the radio. I might look into buying blank-off covers if I can find any.

It doesn't rattle going down the road, except for the radio. Heh! I'll pick it up in mid-January.

Fred's reaction (you kind of have to look for Fred here):

Yes, and birds. She decorated last winter's snowfall with little boy cardinal bits.

Fred has been notified. She thinks that it's a little steep.

Fred needs to use her negotiating skills.......

You know that Fred is an unbridled killer, right?
