Host Hotel info for the 2017 PAC National: Waterford Estates Lodge, 52890 SR 933 N, South Bend, IN 46637, 574-272-5220. Ask for the 'Packard Club' groupe rate, which is $90.00 per night (Rate is good from Friday, 6/16/2017 thru Saturday, 6/24/2017) Hotel is ready to take reservations.
Most events will be held on the Estate. Concours d'Elegance Judging will be on Thursday on Kamm Island in Mishawaka, a 10 min drive from the estate. Tours / Entrance will be arraigned with Cord / Dussenburg Museums and several others. Saturday departure will conclude with a day of Running the Studebaker Proving Grounds track. We have our next update meeting this Sunday, I will provide more updates at that time.

I will have to respectfully disagree on the necessity replace Ultramatic transmissions. Although I can not speak to your specific triad failures I can say this:
100% of every Ultramatic that I have had to repair for customers that had Ultramatics rebuilt by general builders were NOT rebuilt correctly. there is a lot more to a rebuild than just replacing seals and clutch packs, Fit tolerances are critical and often overlooked. Although yes, you can rebuild without "special tools" Having these proper tools help ensure a proper job. 2nd major issue is driving abuse. Most who have upgraded to 700R's support your comments of car having better performance. There in lies the misconception. Packards are not performance or, "zippy" cars, they are "crusiers" Ultramatics are NOT designed to "Kick down" and zoom on command from the gas peddle. Many, many failures result from this type abuse. Rebuilt, and driven correctly, Ultramatcs will last indefinitely. I have Ultramtics driving on 3 of seven contents with greater than the 2 year timeline. As far as I know, I am the only one who gives a 1 Year warranty on ultramatics, If they weren't reliable, I couldn't do that. Keep the Ultramatic, Keep the car original as designed, find a Qualified re-builder not just someone who says they can and enjoy the drive of a true Packard.

I have two besides me excellent in mechanical, body, paint.
I get Engines, trans, pot metal repair, instruments, Wood body, R&D and pretty much anything I get thrown at me. October, I will be adding a very experienced upholster. Planning to add two more restore techs in the spring.

It would be a great idea for Big Kev to add a page much like the cross Reference page where we can add our services for those in our area to find us more easily.
Most know we're here but lets make it easier for those that don't. T
