Here's a '51 2door, has some original items, engine, set and hubcaps etc. No word about the original adjustable cup holder / peg board drivers door panel, unknown if passenger has same amenity.

HH56 is right about irfanview, its a free download and safe. I have used for many years at home and work.
Once downloaded open irfanview and tell it where you images are stored. Open your image need to resize with irfanviw and then select "image" from the pull down menu. You will see "resize / resample" left click on this and another menu box opens with various sizes. I use 640 x 480 highlight the button to the left. The image will shrink in size, you can either save or delete it. It will not change your original image unless you make a command to do so.
I used the "save as" option, change the file name to what I want add 1a to the end, so Dashboard 1a as an example. If I change and save the image another time, I will add 1b and so forth.

Good luck. PM if you need more help.
Barry

J. I like following your post, very informative. Maybe I missed something but I think I would use a strong shop vacuum to clean out the loose stuff first. Then us a small wire brush or a dremel with a wire wheel. An air compressor would be helpful also to blow the debris out. I'm sure Mr. Kanter is more knowledgeable than me about such things but not sure I would use a pressure washer at this stage.

All the best

You learn something new every day when you read this board!
After reading this thread I went out to the garage and sure enough my 23 series / '49 has a heat riser. Of course the spring and screw are missing and the weighted end feels rusted in place. Guess this is one more thing I need to fix or remove.

Thanks for the information.
B.
