I agree, perhaps we just drop the Henney name from the category, and replace it with Commerical.

Don,

Very well said. People are always quick and willing to criticize, but the same cannot be said when praise is due. There is a sense of entitlement that a lot of folks have that really drives me nuts. I hate it when people treat service folks shoddy, and yet never have a good word to say when the person goes over the call of duty for them. This applies to customer service folks from the vendors, all the way to severs at a restaurant.

I travel a lot for business, so I stand in lots of lines at airport. A long line brings out the worst in most people. I cant tell you how many times I have been behind some idiot in line berating the poor lady at the ticket counter because she can't do what they demand (even thought he was the one late to check-in). So they think getting louder and nastier will make it better for them. Do they not realize that they are probably the 100th jerk today that has been standing there today who thinks the world revolves around them! Then I get up, and be sweet as pie to her, ask her how she is doing, ask her how her day is going and treat her how you should treat another person, and suddenly she offers me an upgrade out of no-where. Treat people right and with respect and generally they will do the same.

Interesting question. I would say the Professional and Henney category is referring to non-passenger vehicles. Ambulances, hearses , flower cars, etc. I would think the limos and formal sedans should be filed in their appropriate "by year" category. I would think it would get messy if we tried to start pulling all the various styles of limos into their own category from the pre-war years. So best to leave them in their "by year' category. Also the LImos were directly marketed by Packard, unlike the Ambulances, hearses, etc.

If anyone else has any other ideas, then I am open.

Get the ceramic stuff from Napa. It's purple and comes in small clear pouches. 2 or 3 pouches should be enough for the entire car. Thats what I used on my brakes.

I'm showing the correct Carb for a 1941 120 would be either a Carter WDO-478S with a mid year change to WDO-512S.

Interesting, I thought most tube radios were not polarity specific.

It also depends on which Packard trademark you speak of. The "Packard" name, the "Packard" Script, The Coat of Arms, the "Packard Motor Car Company" all different trademarks that have been re-registered by different entities.

There is no date on the card. So I was going to try to poke around and see what I could dig up on the dealership, and narrow it down from there. I was thinking perhaps sometimes in the early 50's?

Mouse Pad

I was looking at the Dealer Service card I bought from eBay, and noticed it was about the same shape as my mouse pad. So I scanned that card in high quality, and uploaded to the CafePress store for PackardInfo.com (http://www.cafepress.com/PackardInfo) and made a mouse pad out of it so I could order one for myself.

These are now in the store if anyone else wants one. Like everything else in the store, you are paying actual cost. No money is made by me or the website, just thought I would pass it along for anyone interested. Here is what they look like, and as it was a scan from an original 50+ year old card, it has that aged vintage look to it.
