Wonder if it has overdrive? Usually I check for the OD relay box in underhood pics, but no underhood pics included.

I was browsing on this website and was surprised to see a couple of Packards listed. If you are unfamiliar with this website, most of the cars listed here are insurance wrecks. This is what happens to your car if it is totaled, and the title is then surrendered to the insurance company. It is then listed for auction on this website so that the insurer can recover some of the money paid out in the claim. But other stuff does turn up, including collector vehicles. Unfortunately, I did find some vintage cars that were apparently totaled, but these two Packards appear to be pretty nice vehicles.

1953 Cavalier and 1949 23rd Series Club Sedan:

Both look pretty decent, especially the one in Calgary. They may be cars that were donated to a charity, and are being auctioned thru Copart.

I left the '46 Deluxe in VA when I came back west. Too much stuff to move and not enough trailers.

You could have left it here in North Carolina with me Wat! I would have exercised it weekly if not daily

Wow, great looking car! Where do you think the final price will end up Wat?

356 with overdrive, that should move right along.

**CLAIMED** Packard Exhaust Gaskets -- Free for Postage

These are supposed to be Packard straight 8 exhaust gaskets. Take a look, and if you can use them, $6 via PayPal 'send money to friends and family' option to cover mailer and USPS First Class Package postage. Numbers on the round and oval gaskets are V14066 and V14530. One of the oval gaskets may be missing, not sure on that. Don't want to throw them out if someone can use them. Contact me thru the message function on this forum. Thanks!

That is a nice looking (from a design standpoint) car in my mind. However, in my opinion, the solid wheels detract from the car's appearance. Not knowing anything at all about these early Packards, were those wheels standard, or an option to replace wire spoke wheels?
