I have one of these emblems. I am thinking about selling it. Is there any interest? Part # 1327535 It goes in the rear license plate light housing on a 58 Packard station wagon.

I am confused on why it wouldn't be needed. The supercharger belt is wider. At any rate, I am out of pulleys that come off of the motor. I just sold three in the past two weeks.

I have the intake manifold, the carb, the top part of the air box that goes on top of the carb, the water manifold, water pump, supercharger and the cradle that holds the supercharger. All is in excellent condition, supercharger turns the only thing wrong is on the cradle where the pulley hooks up it is broken. I can send you pics if you would like.

I have opted to sell my 57 Packard parts so that I can open up some space and better focus on my 58 Packards. About 10 years ago I bought two fully disassembled 57 Packard Sedans and two parts cars. Also I have one 57 Packard station wagon parts car. Along with all of these items came a ton of nos parts. I have a ton of parts and hope to move everything over the winter. Please feel free to give me a call at 612-508-3518 8 am to 9 pm central time with your parts request. Thank you

I too have seen the car. When I say it two years ago it had the rear emblem. I wonder if it fell out or got lifted. I just sold one in May. It was nos and perfect for $600. This car is very nice and should pull $20k to $25k, unless two get in a bidding war and then who knows how high it will go. I have the blower set up if he buyer needs one. take care

I have a couple of driveshafts. They are on my parts cars...57 Packard 4 door, 58 Packard 2 door and a 57 Packard station wagon. I do not know if they are the same size, please let me know your thoughts at 5758packard@bevcomm.net

GTO you stated that Packard bought Studebaker, I must be misinformed. I thought it was the other way around. Which is correct? With the last article I read the way the stocks split up, it looked as though Studebaker was the majority share holder, please advise, thanks

Here are a few points to consider. The "true" Packard guys do not recognize the 57's & 58's as Packards. So that limited the following. The Studebaker guys did not embrace them as true Studes at first, now they do. This futher limited the following. And now for the parts....body parts are tough to find in good shape. When Studebaker went out of business the parts were sold to Newman and Altman. When they were bought out and parts were moved from a huge building to a smaller one....the parts that were less in need were tossed. Many, many, many Packard fenders were tossed (dumpsters full), thus leading to a further decline in the interest of the car. Recently there has been a comeback due to the ride and look. This is mainly coming from the Studebaker guys. Take care
