thanks for your reply and the phone calls I also received regarding this leaking issue.
I was called by a member here and they told me to remove the rear main bearing and put a coating of locktite 518 between the bearing housing and the bearing shell and let it sit over night and then reassemble the motor.
This did just as it was suggested it would do, it sealed the oil from leaking between the housing and the shell.
If any of you have such a leak i would recommend it, it really did do the trick for me....

Thank you! we are going to pull the motor back out to check the cam shaft as you mention, this is the 5 or 6th motor ive rebuilt and never had an issue before.
I appreciate your input and if I find anything ill surely share it here as well.

34 standard 8 oil leak at rear main area

I have just finished rebuilding this motor and every time we drive the car we have oil running out of the drain hole in the bell housing, we have taken the pan off 5 times and looked at everything we can think of, every thing seems to be correct....
Does anyone have any feed back regarding what could be wrong?

34 Standard eight spark plug gapping

Good morning I have a 34 standard eight and it seems to be very sensitive power wise to any change in the spark plug gap in and I was wondering if someone could tell me what the recommended gapping should be my other packers from other years do not seem to be nearly as affected by the gapping as this one does and I'm wondering if there could be another problem as well Thanks again for your assistance and hope everyone is staying safe
