just a very strange idea is to make a copy of the 1936 Cord 810 antenna, wich was hidden under the floor just to preserve the stylisch body from a mast (scroll down here)

near by my 2362-2845 has got 288 engine number 200799 with a not so clearly visible casting number 4-6-49 ???

it is one of the golden drive away cars, so it should have been delivered in April 49

driving through germanys indian summer gold with my piece of golden anniversary I recognized the wings of my cormorant emblem wobbeling arround. At home I could easily pull them out of the body. Are they clued in? do I miss a clamp? some bolts?

my realy nice 49 true golden anniversary paintcode "R" deluxe sedan was adverted for nearly a year, passed severall exhibitions and eBay without being sold. 10.000 $ was the price.
I was looking to buy a straight eight car and the packard bathtubes where my first choice, because their aerodynamic stile fits the airplane sound of the engine best. I would have prefered a club sedan coupe too, but the golden colour was the special gift that made the decission easy.

lets be happy that those cars are not as expensive as many others, you can enjoy driving them without beeing afraid that there will be a damage or it will be stolen. I own a lot of cars that no longer offer enjoying without thinking about money... VW T2 baywindow camper in excellent condition.. bought it for 5000... last offer 40.000, Porsche 911 now 50.000, Jensen FF bought 15.000, now 150.000 ... you can?t park such a thing without beeing arround and watch

my 49 did run only for a few seconds after I bought it, with an aditional gas tank (canister put on the heater box) it ran properly. After that expieriance I got the gas tank professionally cleaned and derustet, but not coatet, even the whistle works. My last problem is the filler cap, when it is on, the car stops after a few minutes. I don?t know where the hole in the cap has to be and will test a replacement cap before destroying the original one.

the spotlight was made for finding your way in the middle of nowhere, but you can abuse it to illuminate the cormorant emblem!

Now it is done! the golden bathtub passed the german T?V technical inspection and the registration office (allways a problem here to get small licence plates) and is in the road again!
