I have been told that the trunk was flocked on the sides at least. Was this on the floor of the trunk as well with no mat or anything?

I just noticed that the picture of the materials that I was asking about does not appear to be attached. I will try to add it again. If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it.

I just contacted Patrician Industries. I was told that they only make trunk liners for 55 and 56 Packards. They are still open for business. I contacted them at the number below that I found in another post on these forums.

Patrician Industries, Inc., 26444 Nona, Dearborn, Michigan 48124

Thank you. I searched for Packards1 on the web and could only find an ebay store. Is this what you were referring to or is Packards1 something else?

I have been looking for the correct trunk liner for a 1954 Caribbean. The car did not have a liner at all when the restoration was started, so I have nothing for comparison. SMS Auto sent us 2 samples that their books show are correct for 1954 Caribbean trunk liners, but said that the book does not say how to tell which is correct. The body number for the Caribbean is 5478-2085. Does anyone know how to tell which is correct for the car? Thank you.

Thank you for the information. It is very helpful. Since the pinpoint vinyl is the closest, is it fair to assume that this would not result in a point deduction if it was judged? Kanter is also sending me a sample of leather grain vinyl. Would that also be considered as close to correct as possible?
Thank you for your input.

We believe material to be original. It is rather worn cloth and has a plastic rear window with a heavy zipper. The color is off-white and is also off-white on the interior side.

I have been trying to buy correct material to replace the top. I have been told that the top should actually be vinyl with a diamond point pattern, vinyl with a leather grain pattern and also cloth. I have also been told that a plastic back window is correct and that a glass back window is proper.

Does anyone know the correct material for the top and back window? Also, what is the correct color for the interior side of the top? Finally, does anyone have suggestions for the best place to purchase these items?

Thank you for your time. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know all the years that SMS has pre-made carpet sets for, but they told me they have them for 54 Caribbeans. I suspect that they have them for other models as well.
