Need wiring for 1952 300 Sedan

I am looking for sources to obtain the wiring that is directly behind the instrument panel. All the insulation has come off of it and it is shorting things out. I have attempted to splice in pieces, but now I'm kind of gun shy to give it another try. Hoping to locate a good used harness.

Any help/ideas appreciated.

5 or 9 Main Bearings?

I did a search and just couldn't track it down. Fairly new Packard owner here. Without dropping the pan, how do I know whether my Thunderbolt engine has 5 or 9 Main bearings?

I have a 1952 Packard 300 Touring Sedan (4dr)

The exploded engine view on this site shows 9.

Thanks! I do intend on keeping the original pump. So...I guess I will have to tap into the line before the pump, then tap into the line after the pump..............correct?

And, I intend to use a switch on it. Don't want it running all the time.

I'll just be using one of those small purolator pumps.

Thanks for those pictures, Kev.

I was there Sunday morning 8am. I did find a few things I had not been able to get elsewhere. Such as; the 300 emblems for my 52. :)

I looked for some guys wearing the packard info apparel and never noticed any. We probably walked right by each other.

Help with hooking up an electric pump.

I have a 52 300. I would like to hook up an Aux. electric pump as discussed elsewhere on this forum. Has anyone done this themselves, and where is the best place to tap in the fuel line?

My 52 has been sitting for a year, I am getting ready to crank her up, but also need to pump out the gas tank to see what condition the fuel is in. Where does someone get rid of stale fuel?

If I install a fuel pressure regulator, what is a good working psi to set it at?

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure I'm going just to the Swap Meet on Sunday. Plan to be there when they open. Spend two to three hours there (if it takes that long) then head home. Have a 6 hour drive. :)

Be nice to meet someone from the forum.

Thanks for all the info. Especially the AZ club stuff. Being 60 miles south of PHX I don't run into many Packard folks. Except one guy that has a nice 39 (can't remember his name). But, he lives in Casa Grande and usually shows it at the Casa Grande Mainstreet Car Show every January.

About the PI thing in January. I have not been to it, but from reading over the information it looks like the Swap Meet part is ONLY on Sunday. Is that correct??

Hi all,

I am determined to get to a swap meet in 2009. I am in Arizona. Can anyone tell me where and when the Packard Swap Meets are?
