1922 Single Six 133 Touring Engine Parts HELP

I started the engine rebuild on the 1922 Packard, took it to JB automotive in middle river MD. They specialize in all engines and did a great job with my 34 Packard.
They have the engine apart and were looking for a source for parts. They said they need the following: Main bearing inserts. Valves. Push rods. Crank shaft looks good, but I'm not sure what else it might need. Does anyone know where I can get any of those parts listed above? Or maybe a spare engine? Thanks for all the help, John

Hello all,
I am trying to find out what the original paint color was for the exterior. And what the interior, and the convertible top colors are. I am sure the convertible top color was black but I though I would ask that one anyway. Its currently a medium green exterior with red interior and black top. I do not believe the interior should have been red, but the dash board and doors are green. Not sure if it is the right green. Pictures are below. Thanks for all the help, Attach file: PXL_20210227_211512332.jpg (216.88 KB) PXL_20210227_211542688.jpg (211.21 KB) PXL_20210227_211516270.jpg (202.01 KB)

I just had all 4 of my Gabriel snubbers rebuilt.
I am looking for this webbing square U bolt, pictures are attached. This U bolt has no part number in the parts book that I have. This U bolt holds the webbing together once it passes though the strap bolt. This square U bolt is circled in blue on the attached pictures of my parts book. Also would anyone know where I can purchase 2 rear strap bolts? They are circled in red with P/N 116548. Thank you for all the help. 1934 1100 Timing
|

I have a 1934 1100 8 cylinder and it has been running rough/ loss of power when I give it gas. It starts up fine and idles fine. I have been reading how to check and adjusting the timing on the 1100. I had a couple questions and wanted to add pictures.
I did have this engine rebuilt 2 years ago. It has new points, condensers, plugs and wires. The cap and rotor look good. I might have 100 miles on it since the engine was rebuilt, if that... I am getting good spark on all spark plugs but I wanted to check the coils buy measuring the ohms. The primary resistance on both coils are 1.5 ohm The secondary resistance on coil 1 is 10.38 kohm The secondary resistance on coil 2 is 10.16 kohm The ohm reading look good from what I googled. I have 2 timing lights, one hooked to #1 and the other hooked to #6 spark plug wire. #1 cylinder is reading 4 degrees BTDC and #6 is reading 3 degrees BTDC. I was reading both should be 6 degrees BTDC? Is this right? I have timing marks on the vibration damper that read "#6-UPDC" Can I use these marking for both #1 and #6 cylinder. I want to say yes just making sure. Today I will measure the idle rpm, dwell angles for both points, and check cylinder compression. I was reading that the idle rpm should be around 350 RPM give or take, and the compression should be somewhere between 125 psi for each cylinder? I was reading when setting the dwell angle, you should place a piece of carboard or thick paper between one of the points. This will allow you to set the dwell angle for the other set of points. (30 degrees?) Repeat this for the other set of points. Once both are set to 30 degrees, the combination of both should read 37 degrees? Is this right or did I read something wrong? In one of the pictures I circled what I think are the screws to adjust the gap for the points. Are these the right ones? I want to say yes, just making sure. For adjusting the timing, I see there are 3 bolts underneath the distributor body. I can unloosen them and rotate the first set of points. I was reading about the 2nd set of points, which are on a separate rotating plate. Looking at my pictures, what screw do I have to unloosen or take out to rotate it? I see 4 screws which are all 45 degrees apart. I want to say these are the screws I need to take out/ unloosen!? I have a picture with the 4 screws circled in blue along with the set of points I think they change. I also have the other set of points circled in orange which I think is attached to the distributor. AM I RIGHT? What else do I need to know/ anything to make this easier? I wanted to adjust the timing with the distributor on the car. I know some of you might say this is harder than synchronizing the two sets of points... This is the way I want to do the timing right now... With the distributor on the car. I have not touched the carburetor. Thank you for all the help. 1922 Single Six 133 Touring WHEEL/ RIM HELP
|
||||
---|---|---|---|---|

Hello all,
I have a question about my wood rims/ wheel help. The wooden rims that came with the car are not the right ones. They measure to be 20" rims. The original ones would have been 24" in diameter to fit the 33x4-1/2 Firestone tires. My rims are also very skinny in width. They measure to be 2.875" rear and 2.55" for the fronts (CAD drawing are attached below that we made of the rims). Yes both the fronts and backs are different in width but same in diameter. Now the Packard service parts list for a 133 is: "P/N 120522 Wheel front assembly 32x4 (firestone) (driving plate bolt 6 3/16" from valve stem hole) or P/N 121655 Wheel front assembly 32x4 (firestone) (driving plate directly over valve stem hole). I just got off the phone with Coker Tire and they informed me that they no longer make wooden rims. Does anyone know of a company that will make me new wooden rims so I can fit the 33 4-1/2 Firestone tires? I have attached some pictures below. If you need more information just let me know. Thanks, John
