Uncle had a 41 Packard and a 37 Lasalle conv so maybe these were spares to those cars. Thanks for the knowledge and insights!

Trying to identify these, cleaned up and took pics of casting numbers. The transmission with tail shaft is 3 speed . Think the other is overdrive unit ? .

The Packard Identification charts do not mention any letters after the number. Does the A at the end mean anything? Since my tag is missing this number was used over the years for the title.
Thank you

Trying to Identify Overdrive and Transmission

Believe late 30s or early 40s based on what uncle had but he went to a lot of swap meets and had vendor spots at Hershey for 20 years so no telling for sure. Very heavy and tired of tripping over .
