Help Sourcing Brake System Part
#1

Ted Kitzmiller
Hi All,

Can anyone help me source brake part 1.010 Connection, Master Cylinder Outlet, part #302702 — pages 10 & 11 pf the ‘1935-941 Packard Parts List’ — for my 1939 Packard 8, 1701?
The seat cones on mine are worn and do not enable a non-leak seal.

Below are photos of mine —

1. Photo of part, #302702 ...

2. Photo of part, #302702 and the 1.0100 Bolt, Brake Master Cylinder Outlet, #302495 (not sure of the part number for the Bolt) that’s inserted into the Connection.

3. My assembled unit ...

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you,
Ted Kitzmiller

Info Needed : Packard 120 1701 Fuel Line Installation
#2

Hi All,

I am installing a new fuel line in a 1939 120 Convertible Sedan, Model 1701.

Unfortunately, the fuel line and fuel line retaining clips forward of the car's B pillar are missing. So, I'm unsure of the path of the fuel line forward of the B pillar.

Can anyone provide --

A. A description, sketch, or photos of the path of the fuel line forward of the rear wheel well — to the flexible fuel line to the fuel pump?
Or, provide a reference to a source which might provide this information.

In particular, I’m interested in where (i.e., the location), and how (i.e., above or below the frame) the fuel line crosses from the outside of the frame into the engine bay. As noted, my Packard does not have any fuel line retaining clips forward of the B pillar, nor is it obvious where these clips should be installed.

B . An explanation for an unused bracket that’s attached to the passenger side of my 1701’s frame.
The bracket is welded to the outside of the frame, aft of the forward Fender Brace - and seems to be in the path of the fuel line.

What is the purpose of this bracket?
Should the bracket be retained? If so, how should the fuel line be routed around it?

— See the photo below taken from underneath, looking into the engine bay

Thanks in advance,
Ted Kitzmiller
