Thanks for the confirmation Ross. Looks like there will be some set-up to minimize splash and manage flow.

It’s been a while. Been doing more driving than working in the car. What I was able to do was similar to Don. I added a Ganno filter and flushed the cooling system a couple of times. I used a brand called No Rosion. I have cleaned the Ganno filter 2x. Each time it has had a bit less stuff to remove.
Interesting enough though the small leak I had has also gone away after the flushing? Not the intention of the No Rosion and I did not adjust anything? Not gonna question it as it is nice to not have to top it off any more. I still check daily after a drive. Knock on wood still no drips! Hope all are having great summers. Ben ![]()

Also. Will I need to remove the front clip in order to inspect the Water Distribution tube? I assume yes, as it looked a bit longer than the room between Rad and block.

Thanks Tx and BK. I will look to address later this summer. We did use sealant, but not sure on the brass washers. May need to upgrade the gasket.
Thanks again!

So the drip has increased, and I can see now that it is indeed coming from the bottom of the water pump. I just put a new pump on last year.
What are the potential issues I should look to correct? Could it just be a bad gasket? I can see that it is not wet in the "cup" of the under packing nut. Thoughts appreciated Ben

Thanks. I don't think the water distribution tube was looked at when we had it off. I will add that to the list when I remove the clip, probably fall or next year. Going to enjoy the ride for while!

Looks like great progress Don. Now that you have full visibility to the front of the block, can you identify areas of opportunity for leaks that would be below the water pump? As mentioned, I am in search of a leak, but can not find it, as I think i need to do what you are doing. I can confirm it is not the water pump, as it is dry, but can not see other areas. Figured, since you have it taken apart, you may be able to direct me?
Let me know here or PM

Thanks Don. So previously, it was showing negative at start-up, idle and driving. I reversed the wires on the ammeter, and that corrected that, where it was now reading 0 at start idle and driving. Now it is positive when lights are on. This occurs when the car is turned on or off.
What is the suggestion? Reverse the wires again?
