Part found.

I spoke with Allen, who is a great guy, and purchased a mirror that he had.. It was nice to find the part quickly from a fellow enthusiast at what I would consider a reasonable price.

Want to buy. An interior rear view mirror for a 36 Packard Senior. From what I can tell it was oval with a three screw base.

Thanks,
Lee

Thanks Don,
I'm pretty confident that the steel roof insert is original to the car based on the picture below. I just don't know if it was painted originally or covered with a material. The car had been in storage from 1953 until 1998 when purchased, the pictures are from when it was stripped and restoration started. From what I see it appears that the strip that covers the gap / transition from the body to the roof panel is either aluminum or possibly lead that was screwed in place and folded over to cover the screws. When the body work was done the panel was removed and reinstalled as i have pictures with the panel not in place

Roof Panel Moulding

Gents, I'm looking for information on the roof panel insert moulding for my 1936 Super Eight Coupe. From what I can tell according to the parts book it was 2 pieces of 226003 (Moulding Roof Joint) . I have pictures taken by the previous owner when he blasted the original paint off and the insert appears to be one piece of ?? possibly folded over. When he painted the car he reused the original moulding and painted over it which is somewhat ugly. Here are my questions for those of you in the know.

1> It appears that the roof was originally painted steel with no covering, however those that I have seen appear to be covered with material. Which is correct?

2> I can't seem to find the moulding from any of the usual suppliers. What are others using at this seam ? Is there a solution readily available ?

3> Does anyone have detailed pictures of what I should expect to find under the moulding before I destroy what is there ?

Thanks for your assistance in advance

I'm the new custodian of a 36 Super Eight 2-4 Coupe. The car appears to be complete but is mostly in pieces including the engine. I looked through the literature archive but can't find a manual for the engine, does anyone have one ?

Thanks,
Lee

Thanks packardsix1939, I did see the listing and was going to contact the owner. Price is relative and I'm not really sure how to value them other than historical sales.

Wanted: 35-37 120 Coupe. No project cars please but would consider cars that need some loving, mechanical and / or interior work. Must not require body work and should be complete. PM me and let me know what you have and price. Cash in hand, distance not an issue for the right car but must be in North America.....Thanks
