I have been in the car storage barn on the property and it is amazing. I think you could easily live in it. As far as the comment "to bad it's in Oregon" please stay where you are we need to keep the Packard disbursement as it is.

Pan American excitement aside, what info on prototype Caribbean? Did I mention I have two different shades of green on the fenders other than the original brown green?

I don't know how far you went back on the thread, but the numbers are there. Our car was produced as a 52 convertible in the third quarter of 52..
Feel free to email me any other questions

if you squint really hard and look at the wire hubcaps it might look like those of a 54 Pacific. Or not.

Its been 8 months since I have done anything with the car or its history research. I will need to peel back the layers of stuff that have accumulated around the car. When I got the car my only goal was to see and hear it run, maybe this will still occur. At the very least I need to reinstall the head, starter and put the radiator back in. that should keep me busy for awhile.

A couple days ago I went to visit a friend. He was not at home, so I went snooping around his Packard hulks. I spied a shadow outline of the Packard script on the quarter panels of a 53 300. With paper and pen in hand, I did a rubbing and mapped out were the holes were. When I got home I laid out the map over the holes in on my drivers side front fender. A perfect match. The script on the quarter panels had four mounting studs, so with the use of the map I located where the fourth hole should be located. A few minutes of sanding and yippee there it was, the fourth hole.
My conclusion, The script that was used on the rear quarter panels for 53 senior cars will fit on my front fenders. Is this proof positive that my car is the prototype? No, but it is one more similarity.

Here is a broader picture of the fender and its customization.

Here is a picture of some brazing work done on my car. The holes in the fenders and doors have been filled in as the Caribbean did not carry the Central spear like the 52 conv.

I was there at sogfest. There were 5 cars in the hotel banquet area, two under the portico in front of hotel and 5 in the covered parking structure. 5+2+5=12 at the hotel. There were I believe 6 more cars for judging at Custom Auto Restoration.
Although the weather did not cooperate and the number of cars was small, the event was still very enjoyable. The number of venders at the swap meet was encouraging.
