Hi Kev

Ken P posted a link to one for sale on ebay. The one listed on ebay is just like the one I have. I believe it was made in the 40's.

Hey that's what it looks like. It even looks like it's in about the same kind of condition.

Thanks for the info.

I have an old Packard metal outdoor thermometer that you would hang up outside. Other than some weathering and a minimal amount of rust on top and bottom it is in AWESOME Condition. No dents or holes. It says "Ask A Man Who Owns One" then "PACKARD" at an angle then a picture of a late 20's or early 30's Packard at the bottom.

Does anyone have an idea how much it is worth?????

Re: Carburator $ Fuel PROBLEM HELP!!!!

So far I have found my Carburator to be the biggest part of the problem. My car is a 1936 120B with the Stromberg EE-14 carb. The pump has the original spring in it and also I installed a rubber boot that came with the rebuild kit I believe the kit was for a single action pump and not for mine (I havde a double action pump). I got a rebuilt carb from Kanter and had it installed but the only problem is that it didn't have the float screw installed. Kanter has had some problems with their previous rebuilder and no longer use them. They are in the process now of rebuilding my original core with the new rebuilding vendor. I hope this cures my problem summer is too short here in upstate New York.

Carburator $ Fuel PROBLEM HELP!!!!

Just can't stay away

John H New York
Hello

I have just rebuilt the fuel pump and had the carb rebuilt by a reputable local mechanic that has several classic cars of his own (I won't tell you though they are chevy's). The problem I am having is too much fuel is coming into the carb and leaking out all over. He said the float wasn't "Heavy" and seemed OK. The needle valve was replaced and new gaskets.

My question is could there be something wrong with my rebuild of the pump that is making it pump too much fuel and over riding the float and needle valve?

I appreciate any and all help.

Thanks,

John H. in Ballston Lake, N.Y.

So would you think if I asked $28,000.00 it would be a good place to start or should I ask more?

Hello

I have a 1936 120B Touring Sedan. It had a frame off body restore about 8-9 years ago. The paint is in great shape with the exception of having some scratches from driving and going to shows. The engine was rebuilt at the time and has about 5,000 miles on it since. The transmission was rebuilt a year ago. I have had the water pump rebuilt by Howard Stewart Restorations. I also installed a rebuilt Master Cylinder from Tuscon Packard Parts. I just purchased and will be installing a new "Reproduction" wiring harness from Narragansett Wiring. The interior was redone at the time of restroation and is in excellent condition. It has won many awards since I have owned it.

Attached are some pictures.

Thanks for your help..

I am looking to find out what the gauge of the wiring is for my 1936 Packard 120. I want to know for both the spark plugs and the wiring for the rest of the car.

Thanks for your help,
