Hi Dave,

Just sent a few bucks to our mutual friend Kev. The klutz that I am the money flew out without me saying what it's for, but I assume Kev will know that it is a Christmas contribution towards a cool Packard summer.

Sis' kitchen is next in turn.

Brian,

I enjoyed talking to you at some length at Warren and I think you have a lot of knowledge and experience to contribute, given your long history of Packard ownership and hands-on expertise in dealing with various issues.

I have to say, though, that your choice of words in responding to Owen-Dyneto's info on hinge-pins was unfortunate and insulting.

We don't need that sort of verbiage in the Packard world.

Great stuff!

I'll bring to Warren a manual control valve lever with a stripped thread for you to put a helicoil in and a pan gasket, of course.

Malcolm,

I am looking forward to seeing you in Warren. Leaving tomorrow morning and expect to check in at the Avalon towards evening. Unfortunately I don't dare drive 5699-1007. Although most bugs have been sorted out by now, I will need to take it on several shorter trips before I dare drive it across several states. So my wheels this time will be the Executive, which has been to Warren before (for the Packard Museum car show in 2000).

I have Egge pistons in my Executive 352 and they are just fine. The engine now has 10,000 miles on it since being rebuilt and have had no problems at all (with the pistons).

Put me down for a set of strutted 4 1/8 + .030 to keep on hand for my 374s.

Looks like an Ultramatic cooling line hanger to me. But I have known to be wrong on a lot of things.

Hi Randy,

It was good seeing you at Hershey. Had heard so much about you from Dave and I sure wasn't disappointed. I hope we can compare notes on our 56 Caribbean projects in progress in the months to come.

All the best,

Ole
