Thanks so much for the information. Where did you find the tires, Coker?

Tools used to replace tires on 733 Spoke wheels

Greetings,

I'm going to be replacing some tires on my 733 Phaeton with chrome steel rings holding them in place.

Does anyone know of tools or techniques to do this? The last time I did this years ago, it consisted of having someone stand on the sidewalls to try and get the rings back on.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks, mine was mounted with the convex side to the radiator. Must have happened a bunch of years back when the engine was rebuilt and a new water pump was installed.

Hopefully this will take care of the overheating.

Hi,

Is it original or one of the reproductions as I have the same on my 733 which I replaced on mine as the original had deteriorated.

Greetings All,

I had to replace the water pump and would like to know if the fan blade, I repainted, has to be mounted with a specific side facing the radiator or if it matters?

One side has a "peak" down the middle of the blade and the other side has a "valley".

Thanks
Gene

Tried jacking it up a bit and that worked, thanks. I did order some new engine mount pads from Steele. In order to replace them, do I place the jack under the oil pan to stabilize it and remove the 2 bolts or do I need to loosen the engine mount on the front?

Thanks again.

Thanks, do I need to loosen the bolts on the yoke when I jack it up or leave them as is?

I'm having difficulty getting at the bolts that hold the water pump in place. It appears that the motor mount rubber bushing has compressed making it impossible to remove the bolts.

I remember reading somewhere that the motor needs to be lifted somehow to gain access.

Has anyone tried this method and how is it done?

Thanks to all.

Hi,

I forgot to note that it's a '41 120.

Thanks
