I'm trying to overhaul my 56 374 cubic inch engine with UT on a limited budget. I'm not sure what parts I will need. I am getting the oil pump kit from Mr. Vines. I know of Egge parts, Max Merrit parts, and Kanter parts. Any suggestions of other sources ie. Napa, etc. Thank you.

The fuse that blows goes to the actuator motor but I have another problem I haven't been able to trace out at this time. It is a wire running to the vintage air(I think)and I am waiting to get this checked out too. I will get back on here later after someone tells me what I am talking about. Thank you all

Sorry I have been gone all day, the fuse is a 10amp inline probably added when auto park was eliminated I don't remember. I am unable to trace it at this time. I will try some more of the suggestions given and try to get back tomorrow. thanks

I have checked out some of the suggestions and first thing is the PB actuator is not working, it blows a fuse each time I replace it. I guess this is the problem why the starter doesn't do anything as it probably isn't in N or P now I have to find out why it is blowing the fuse. I do have a question about the starter relay and transmission control relay. Are they the same relays? I have read that a GM power window/seat relay is the same relay. Does anyone know if this is true? Thank you.

The starter does not do anything in any gear,I just hear a click on the fire wall. I have had the actuater overhauled and new wires from PB to it. I can't get under it to see anything at this time.

Thank you Big Kev,HH56 and Owen Dyneto for your suggestions and wiring diagram. I now have a starter "bumper" and it may take a few days for me to check this out and I will try to get back on here. 33Su8

When turning switch key to start I hear a slight click on the fire wall under the hood but starter doesn't do anything. I have taken starter off and it and the solenoid are good. The Push button actuator sounds like it is shifting to Park and N but no starter. This just happened all at once, it had been starting fine. I see a starter relay in the wiring diagram but don't know where it is or how to check it. plazma@grm.net Thanks

Hello Mr. Push Button, Update on push button problems. I haven't driven the car much until today. It stuck in reverse again. It started in reverse again. I'm ready to fix it now. Could you tell me who to send it to. If someone sees this and knows how to contact Mr. Push Button please ask him to contact me at plazma@grm.net.
