The original engine was replaced with a 1950
288 but i'm told the car is 1937.,so we painted it green to match the year!I put a couple pictures of the engine in the 1950 section!

Thanks for the quick response.
The valve setting is what i need.
I am rebuilding the engine for a customer.
It is .020 over on the bore.
010 - .010 on the crank.
New valves,springs,locks,guides,
resurfaced block,head,rebuilt oil pump,
timing chain and gears.
The car is 1937 (not sure the model)
as i have not seen the car yet.
The shop is currently rebuilding a
v8 studabaker and 2 flathead fords,
but the straight 8 is the most popular.
