The whole Gene Winfield select 6 is a sham. The car is picked before the show even begins. It's political just like all cars shows. Which is really pretty said. Here's how I know. The Lincoln was invited to come we were selected. The owner and build is one of the builder dozen which is a event at the show and the car is on the Nationals flyer. Winfield prize money is 15000.00, 10000.00 to winner and 1000.00 each for the other 5. The 1000.00 check was made out and dated June 5 2018. It's not hard to figure out. So the five never had a chance to win.
The white Cadilac is a 1953 which the father of the owner now and another partner in 1955 sent it to (Italy) to have it made. The cost at the time was 30000.00. The father died not long after and since the partner had the most money invested he got the car.many years pass the son tracks the car down buys it and restores it. Note he RETSORES it. So really it doesn't even quallify to be in this show. But it was a nice car.

Spent the weekend at the Syracuse Nationals with these beautiful cars. The Lincoln was the winner of the Winfield award

Received the news today that the Packard has been selected to compete for the Gene Winfield award in Syracuse NY.

Hi JD. Yes this car will have a back up camera.
Thanks acolds and Steve. This build has always been about trying to keep the class that Packard had but something a little different.

Well the outside is pretty much finished. Now on to the interior.

Just a little update. Made a new pair of skirts, the owner wanted to see some of the wheel. Body is painted cut and buffed.

Hi Howard. The cam lift is taking away from engine vacuum engine builder recommended hydro boost and it worked well for size. It's as small as a 7" dia. booster.

Some progress. Steering wheel almost done. Brake booster and pedal installed also accelerator installed. Fan shroud made and clutch fan installed. Now pluming a/c, steering and hydro boost lines. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
