Having trouble pulling the water pump on my '48 super 8.One of the bottom bolts is rubbing on and is below the level of the motor mount?flange.Any suggestions?

I recently purchased a 1948 Super 8 touring sedan.The serial number on my vehicle ends with a CE,but I can find no reference to what the "E" stands for.The main number is:
G4210xxCE.Anyone have any ideas?Help would be appreciated. Brown trout.
