Any one know what spark plug is available for a 1931 straight 8 ? It has auto lite 3076 plugs but the parts store cannot seem to get them.

Does the bendix on a dn860 for a 31 straight 8 have 9 or 10 teeth?

On my 1931 super 8 , there is a jar on the firewall with a line to the intake. It has what looks like Marvel Mystery oil in it. Is this what is supposed to go in there? With the engine running, you can see steady drops going to the intake.

Thanks guys. It sort of looks like a weak spot in the casting, but not sure. All I know is that it made a loud bang noise and that was all she wrote for the starter. David Moe has the part and is sending it. I would definitely be interested in a modern drive.

Does anyone know what type of gear oil to use in the trans of my 31 super 8? Does it use the same as a model a ford(600 weight) or our modern 140 weight gear oil? The oil that came out was really thick.

Is there a replacement made for a 1931 super 8 oil filter? I know about the spin-on conversions, but since this canister lays sideways, I doubt one would work.

I must be doing something wrong. When I went to to registry page, it went from year to series, then just a blank page. I must have broke it.
