Ya know man some of these beautiful machines were abused and not maintained after four months working on my packarD 300 I'm about to pull my straight 8 and ether out in my 351 stoker or a stock 460 from a 80s ford 350 and ideas or comments on this? I have done so much work to this motor she's jus tired from sitting and doing nothing haha I think my valve seats are bad it pours blackish smoke when you get on the gas but a can of restore did help. Idk I'm so tired of the motor but I live the car haha
Thanks

Hey guys question I have a 1953 cavilier and aside from an accident an needing a new fender my transmissionis having some issues and you seem to know abit about them. So my symptOma are I just finished the brakes (new lines and honed wheel cylinders booster the whole 9) then the starter flushed the oil. Trans, plugs wires batt cleaned everything up ha the carb rebuilt rear end diff and axel seals cause it sat so long they just melted. Upon starting her up (she runs great but has a little knock, valves need adjusted?) and pumping my breaks to pressure them up and two people with blocks in front of me cause of the hill I gave her some gas and put her in gear and almost instantly died. The Guys last I was on here said drive it a bit see if you can break it loose. Bad ending on a hill. Front drivers fenders gone. I gives the breaks and decided refocus on her being drivable than looking sexy like she use too. If I work the throttle she will run and drive about a block before dying and that's in high, low is very hard to get her to run and reverse you basically have to go from park to reverse with the peddal almost one the floor to move at all it's driveing me crazy! Sorry for the rambling essay thanks for any help

I'm sorry I'm still new to packards I was a ford/mercury guy but i fell in love with this 53. Will that fender fit? No right? My model is an individual? I have lost all motivation since the crash in her. The brakes have a problem and the trans has something sticking and making the car die when it's put in gear :(
