Thank you for the helpful image and advice! I thought that was how it worked, but I wanted to make sure.

Now I'm having issues getting the fuel pump to work. Does the 320 engine have a pushrod like in other V-8's to push down on the pump arm? Any tips or tricks for installing it correctly would be appreciated.

Update! I was able to use a telescoping magnet and curved needle nose pliers to retrieve the pump arm and the spring. Phew! thank you all for your advice and support. Going to look into replacing the original arm pin with a locking pin. Has anyone done this? The clearance needed for the mounting bolts is pretty tight.

Thanks for your advice! I'll try a magnet wand first. If no luck, I'll drop the pan.

My Carter 2198 fuel pump lost the arm pin while driving and the arm is stuck inside the engine. What would be the best way to fish it out? From the oil pan or? I'm very handy but haven't taken the engine apart before. Has anyone had this happen? Any advice appreciated.

Not your exact model but it describes both inputs and how to use them on these old style analyzers. Engine Analyzer

I am going to be rebuilding my Carter WCFB later this week and I will take pictures of the fuel filter fittings for you. I should have them posted by the weekend if you don't already have the information you need.

This guy has a '53 that he bagged and put Detroit Wheels on. You may want to get in touch with him as he's probably done all of the homework already.Bagged and dropped 53 Packard

This looks like a great kit. Is this something they have available to order or did they custom make it for you? I'm interested in purchasing one for my 55 Clipper.

I'm going to be doing a conversion to a GM transmission on my 1955 V8 Clipper. Before I buy a new kit from SpeedGems (Bentsens)I wanted to see if anyone had one lying around they never used. If yes, let's chat! This is November 22nd, 2023 and I will be looking for a few weeks before I order a new one. Thanks!
