If it is a 51, it has PACKARD spelled on the hood and a cormorant with the wings up. But there are some more differences between this years, maybe he could upload some pictures?

I recently replaced the speedometer, but I didn't remove the front seat, that's not neccessary (and I'm 6.5 feet tall). What you do need is a good light under the dashboard, a little mirror might help, and a lot of patience. Good luck!

I have two, behind the front wheels. I don't like them. Every time I have to explain (Dutch) people what those things are, hanging out of my car...

After cleaning with WD-40 and closing it again (be patient!), it is back in the car now.
