You are correct, I am very fortunate to have that footage, poor dad, stared into many an iPhone for me.

I corrected the video footage, you are correct some of the old AVG P40's the saw when they landed in Burma had the Merlin engines and the P40's in Richmond had the Merlins. The P40's they flew in Burma were the N models and had Allison engines.

Here is some very rare footage of the 89th Fighter Squadron flying, I believe, Packard equipped P40's in Richmond Virginia

Edited to correct video footage

My father, who celebrated his 97th birthday last Saturday, is a fellow Packard collector some of you may know. Here is a video where he talks about flying Packard Merlin equipped P40's and later P51.

I asked my father, who turned 96 last month, walker or wheel chair this year.

His reply was walker, I think I'll use the walker this year.

Just between us, I don't know how he does it, but he'll muster up enough energy to tour all the parts tables and look at everything for sale.

Usually I'll take him on Friday but this year I have a customer meeting set for today so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to take him.

He will be worrying about the good deals that got away by missing today.

Regardless, we wouldn't miss it for the world

"Hundreds more, should I keep going?"

By all means, those are exceptional. The quality of slide film amazes me.
