Door Hinge Rebuild
#1

Happy Saturday!

Have any of you rebuilt your door hinges? What pin size have you used?

I have a 1941 110 Club Coupe and would like to tighten them up (they are not too bad). I could do it myself or send it out if the price is reasonable.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Rich

Brassworks in Paso Robles, CA can get you the more original type core, but it will hurt quite a bit. Especially on a 110 it would probably be best to go to a more modern core.

I couldn't help myself and went with the more original.

I was pretty anal about my paint. My car had original paint on it when I purchased it, so I had a good idea of the original color. TCP Global was the only one to come close, and they nailed it. All others, to me, were pretty far off, and I tried most everywhere and calling corporate numbers for help.

Hi,
This is the best I have of original, and I'm pretty sure it's not going to help but maybe....

I can send you a zoomed pic if you like as clicking on the picture/link doesn't seem to be working?

As far as accuracy, it appears there is a bit of debate on the underhood colors as well as the inner fenders. I've just about depleted all my sources (libraries, on and off line, car shows, etc.). I'm also wondering about the color of the oil spout tube.

One other item of interest for me is what is the best running of the the oil lines with an oil filter. My car had an oil filter but I've seen diagrams both here and service updates on changes. Does there happen to be a final picture of the best approach.

Thanks!

I don't, but I believe it is where this car was purchased.

If anyone sees any incorrect motor colors (black vs. Green and vice versa) please let me know.

Thanks!

Thanks! Got the motor in. I was a little surprised how geometrically tight it all was, with firewall and the steeering pieces.

Hi Folks,

I have a 1941 110 jr. Been making slow progress with my frame off. Body is on and it's time to put in the motor and trans this weekend.

I have a new 2 piece front motor mount rubber insulator to insulator to install. Is there a torque spec for these? How tight do I want to squish the rubber?

Thanks! And Happy Thanksgiving!

Rich
