The "2652" is the body (vehicle) number. It can be found both on the plate on the driver's door post AND on the body tag on the firewall (passeger side) under the hood. That plate (which is the Briggs Manufacturing plate) is about 1 x 2 inches, and should start out reading 2652-____.

I was on the tour bus when Mr. PB gave us a running commentary during the downtown Detroit tour. Very interesting (and very sad in several places... 1580 E. Grand... Conner Avenue...)

If memory serves, Mr. Adams' wife was having an affair with PMCC President Max Gilman in 1941-42. She was riding with Gilman when he had that automobile accident in January 1942 that ended his career at Packard. Gilman and Mrs. Adams later married.
