My 39 Henney drives twice as good as my 57 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud ever did! The Packard also costs half as much to fix...(It gets as many stares too!!!LOL)

Hey guys
Since this was an ambulance combo car, the hole held the light siren combo. I have a couple parts of the original one (the lens and cover) but would like to find a complete federal set. I am trying to keep it as original as possible so i opted to keep the hole in it. Everytime I go outside I have a crowd around it. I still have the original gurnee and jump seats also, I will try to get some interior pics later today.

I got real lucky and found all of the pieces to mine...a couple of phone calls to the previous owner and he found everything...It's funny how easily something goes together when you have the right parts! Now they are off to be rechromed.

Attached is a pic of my 39 Henney Hearse. I drove it home from the body shop today! What an awesome experience. I have never driven a Packard before and this car handled as nice as my newer hearses. I have some adjustments on the carb though, as it acts like it is getting too much fuel. Any suggestions would be great as I have never worked on these much either. The straight eight was just overhauled and had plenty of power to pull it right down the road. I will be posting some more pics soon, but here is one of the first.

I'm one more of those don't do it guys! My 39 Henney starts everyday without a problem! If it's not broke, don't fix it. I have everyone telling me all the time that I should convert mine, and if I am going to use it at our funeral home then I HAVE to change it...I don't know how back in the day those cars ever started and made it to the cemetery without a hitch over and over!

Does anyone have any pics of a 39 with the hood open? I am assembling my 39 this weekend, and all of the hood parts are in a box, as they were when I bought the car. I just want to make sure I put everything together correct....mine is a henney...but it shouldnt really matter...with an eight
