I am missing the Booth for my 1955 Caribbean. Does anyone have any lead where to get a Boot for a 1955 Caribbean or does it have to be custom made?
thanks in advance for any information and help

Front end not level

here I am again with a Problem.
It seems that my front end is too low and not level with the rear. As a fact it probably should be about 3" higher. the way it sits now the wheels touch the inner part of the front fender when turned either way.
What is the best way to make it higher? I was first thinking that the torsion will raise it when engager, but it does not. oh, the torsion works fine as it does engage when weight is put on the back.
any good idea where to start?
as always any hint of advice is helpful

thank you for your help and actually this is what I was looking for. I should get my new mast in the next day or so and from what I understand it is a original one. I know they are rare and maybe I just lucked out... will let you know when I get it!
Now I have a simple question.... is there a arrester that stops the motor when the antenna is fully extended and/or retracted. It seem to me when I extended the mast, while out of the care, using my battery terminals for power the motor seem to be running even after the mast was fully out. Needless to say I disconnected before burning up the motor.
Just like to know how it works when it is on the car.
Thanks again for the help so far..... this is an awesome site to get information and has helped me a lot in the past.

thanks for the hints on the type of antenna used. I am somewhat familiar with that, just not sure how to take the unit apart so to replace the mast. I have opened the round drum (Reel) and extended the broken mast to its max. But the round nylon rope is held in place by the wheel that clamps the rope. My question is how do I get that wheel out so I can get the mast replaced. I mean I need some tips of how to proceed as I do not want to force anything.

yes, I have found a source for one.... :) I know they are hard to come by....
I have stared to take the assembly apart... the drum that holds the plastic pushrod .... but I don't want to force anything to do some damage... there is a rubber where the antenna comes out .... sort of slipped into the tube that holds the antenna when retracted... it is covered by the nut that screws to the top when on the fender...
Hope for some hints how to proceed to take the old and broken mast off... mine is broken at the base...

Re: Convertable top for caribbean 55

I have another question regarding the coverable top on the Caribbean.
On my old top (prior to the start of restoration) has a rear window which it made of a solid glass with a SS frame around it. I wonder if this is original or if someone had putt that in on a later date.
So my question is what was the original referring to the window as I see on the pictures posted here I see a soft Plexiglas window with a zipper.
I have not called Art's Trim shop yet, but I read here that they do not provide pattern for the tops, but only do installations at their shop! Is that correct? That would be a problem for me too as I live in Tampa, Florida and quite a ways away from Indian.
Any comments and information is appreciated.

thanks for the information so far. My question is how does the liner get sewn in so it will not loosen on the in the middle, like hang down? Also did anyone have the problem with the extra material to get in the well when the top is down?
By the way, this site is just awesome in regards to getting information. thanks to all of you who helped me over the past years.
