I got mine from speed gems if I remener right it was around $900 maybe less its been about 4 years since I bought it and it is the plate mini high torque starter and flywheel. I didn't do the 700r4 I went with a standard trans, because I didn't want to mess around with trying to figure out the kick down cable. The guy is in Minn if my memery is correct and he makes them there in his tranny shop you give him any motor and trans that you want to meet up and he'll make it. His site ishttp://www.transmissionadapters.com/

Sorry I was a little unclear about what I was wanting to do. What I'm wanting to do or know is can I put the hydraulic lifters and cam into the solid engine.

The engine that I rebuilt had the solid lifters and cam in it, however I have another engine sitting around that had the hydraulic cam and lifters

Hello I am kinda new to the site. I have looked around some and this question may have been asked, however I did not find. I have a '52 288 with solid lifters in it and i also have another 288 with hydraulic lifters. I want to know if the cam and lifters are interchangerable.
