Oil pan gasket

Bought me one of them fancy blue rubber Fel Pro 30616R gaskets after a googler search for 1955 Packard 352 oil pan gasket.
WRONG gasket.
Found this in on flea bay.
Looks correct.
ebay.com/itm/171749248458?mkcid=16&mkevt ... &var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Checked cross reference on engine and lubrication. Became cross not finding an oil pan gasket.
Any one have an oil pan gasket recommendation ?

I’m in progress with the Olds pump replacement.
One thing I noticed the Packard pump pick up was” flexible “
As in it moved up and down. The Olds pump is very rigid.
Was that a feature in the Packard pumps? Or was my pan wacked at one time leading to flexible flyer oil pickup? The pan has a noticeable ding in the bottom.

Sorry we seem to have hijacked the oil pressure sender thread.
I would think that any oil pressure sender has to have a three wire system to give an accurate pressure reading.
A two wire pressure element would just be a light indicating low pressure.

Unless it’s a specific resistance in the meter movement circuit. Like an RTD in temperature circuits.
Not common theses days.

I’ll be doing a lot of updates as the procedure is correct in the service manual because you definitely need to remove both exhaust pipes from the headers. The good old cork gasket was stuck like glue.
You can retrofit the oil pump with the engine in the car.

The flywheel cover is off.
Steering bracket dropped frame.
Lifting motor / undoing motor mounts might do it.
Manual tranny car. 3 on tree and OD

I trying the oil pump kit too. Can’t seem to clear the pan as it hits flywheel.
Did you raise the motor off the mounts to get pan to clear?
