Just for information purposes. I spent lots on fuel problems and I found out the standard Packard mechanical pump, when operating correctly will out pump any electrical pump. It has a diameter almost 3'' and can pump a lot of fuel.

I run a 350CFM Holley on my stock 288 and it will easily run 90 mph., with no fuel starvation. The Holley has a 30cc accelerator pump, so no hesitation. You need to chase all vacuum leaks and get the ignition operating at max and that stock pump will do the trick.
