Hi I urgently need and gear and pinion for the above car plus the central gears or perhaps an complete diff....
ratios for broken diff 4.69 to 1 ...61-13 teeth Packard part 202370. would like lower ratio gear and pinion ie.4.06 or lower to give higher cruising speed. Hi I have a 1936 Packard super 8 sedan but modified to take part in classic long distance rallies ,unfortunately not running well at present
as changing carbs but will be ok by the new year. I am also out the uk on the 7th august but best of luck with the meeting. If you have any other meets etc please let me know.aphartfield@yahoo.co.uk.

Hi I have a Packard super 8 1937 which we are rebuilding to take part in the 2016 peking to paris rally. I am looking to see if it is possible to change the gearbox at present an original 3 speed,to an 4 or 5 speed box of some sort????. It can be non Packard.
Has anyone any advice or experience or knows any possibly changes. thanks paul hartfield
