Great meet! Got the award for furthest driven (ok I detoured on back roads and went via Longview to convoy the rest of the way with Nelson Bates). For a car that used to die almost every run we were well pleased with car performance. Nice bunch of people and we enjoyed immensely....hope to post some pictures soon.

There are two bolts at the top and two at the bottom and several along the sides. Just keep shining the light till you make sure you have found them all. It's ackward sitting on the edge of the engine so if you have time do it when the car is all apart.

All were out and all I did was bark the paint trying to be "gentle".

No trick to it, it should push out but didn't. Finally roped my riding mower to it and it finally popped out without damage. Although I generally wouldn't recommend a riding mower as a Packard tool, seventy years of being stuck together is a long time.

Bump....already goy several barks in the paint trying to get it out. The grill is all unbolted. Should it slide out the front? Is there something I am missing?

1940 model

The grill is unbolted. It comes out the front I suppose, not the radiator side.

Seems to be reluctant to come out.
