Removing 1934 Packard interior window moulding

I want to remove the interior window moulding from my 11th series sedan. According to the Service Letters VOL. 7 No. 19 (dated October 1, 1933) I am to "tap downward on the moulding for several inches from each corner. Then in the same position on the upper side, tap the moulding rather sharply." Then I use a special Packard tool to pull the bottom of the moulding towards me. (note: I have attached a copy of the related Service Letter as a JPG image)

Does anyone have any advice on how they were able to remove the window moulding from their closed car? There are no screws to remove, just hidden spring loaded fasteners.

The same service letter notes that I will need to purchase tool number ST-922 (List $3.75) from Packard to help facilitate the removal of the moulding. Does anyone have advice on re-creating this tool? Does anyone have a blueprint of this tool available?

The special tool isn't required; unless you're dealing with a rust situation just sharp, firm pressure with your hands should be quite adequate. Mine have all come off quite easily without the tool and I've heard the same from many other owners of these models.

G'day Christopher,
to PackardInfo but sorry I can't assist with your request.

However, I invite you to include your '34 Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry.
