13. Motor fuelizer screen retaining plug

I acquired an old fuelizer carburetor (1924-1926). I'm trying to rehab it. The throttle plate was frozen and who knows what else needs attention.
I have made it to the point of removing the fuelizer screen retaining plug but I am now stumped as to how to remove it. It is not threaded into the inside of the fuelizer.

Has anyone made it to this point in disassembly or have any worthwhile ideas to continue this project?

Thanks for your time.
