How to remove front seats in 1930 Packard sedan?

Has anyone figured out the best way to remove the sliding drivers seat frame from the car? I have been pulling my car apart for hours and it seems to me they must have started building the car around the front seat after welding it in place. I am very close to getting the grinder out and cutting it out. Am I missing some obvious but rusted over screws?
Please help.....
Todd

I figured it out, there is piece of round stock under the seat that needs to be removed. There are four screws by the adjustment handle under the front lip of the seat and another 1/4" screw that runs through the shaft. This last screw is only visible through a hole in the seat frame when the seat is pushed all the way back.
