37 120 speedometer head removal

It appears my speedometer head has frozen up and I am going to have to remove the unit from the dash. The cable has already been removed so the only other thing connected to the speedo is the light which is easy to remove.

My question is do I have to remove the speedo from the dash or can that section of the dash be removed with the speedo intact? There is no other instrumentation on that section and it has screws on the underside that can be easily removed. What hold the dash panel on at the top or elsewhere?

Looks like removing the dash panel to work on the speedo would be the easy way to go? Anyone's thoughts?

thanks,

Rod
