I'm looking at this 1930 Packard 733 Convertible Coupe and would like opinions as to its fair market value. It is described as an older (about 15 years) restoration in excellent mechanical condition. Please see attached photos. Will appreciate any guidance.

Looks very nice. I believe It is missing a step on the bumper for access to rumbleseat. What is the price?

Seller is asking $59K. Car is now on PAC website classifieds.

I think that is high as the top is rough and can't see front seat. Go look at the car or have a professional appraiser check it out.

Here are pictures of the front seat and door panels. Door panels don't look correct to me; can anyone comment?

There is a Packard of the same model on Hemmings right now. Asking price is 135K, but it is an award winning restoration and appears considerably nicer.

Everything is an "award winning restoration"

As regards the yellow car in Hemmings, here is a short list:

Firewall should be black
Chassis lubricator doesn't appear to be doing anything
Lots of wrong fasteners
Wheels should be two tone
Pedal pads on upside down
Transmission should be silver
Oil fill should be painted
Is the original firewall plate anywhere to be found?
General rule is if the fenders aren't black the chassis should be painted fender color.

On the plus side the fuel system looks intact and the acorns on the block are correct.

Here is something else wrong with it. I think it is way overpriced. It has been for sale in Hemmings for months.

I see an AACA Senior badge on the car. This confirms my longtime suspicion that the judging at AACA national meets is somewhat lacking. They will give an award to a car as long as it is shiny enough, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is 100% authentic. Which it should be for that level of an award.

The green carpet is horrible as well. The top bows should be painted, but the dashboard graining is correct.
