Vent my stupidity!

Ok I give up, after 4 years I still cant find the lever or whatever it is that opens the cowl vent!

Presume you mean the upper cowl vent, not the side cowl vents? The side vents open with a handle shaped to be flipped with your foot.

When you say you can't locate it, do you mean your car is missing one and you havent' been able to source it, or that you don't know where on the car the operating lever is? I'm guessing the former because you can't miss it if it's there, sticks right out about 4 inches from and under the dashboard just off center. See picture, it's the lever with the knob on the end that appears to be right above the top of the clutch pedal.

Hi there,

Thanks for the answer. It is indeed the upper cowl vent handle I am missing. Time to get the flashlight out and see what is left of it, if anything, under the dashboard.
