Anybody know where this phillips screw goes? It was in this bag with the clamshell that attaches the column to the dash, but I cant see where this screw goes. Did I mis-label it a few years ago?

Believe its purpose is to keep the top half of the bracket attached to the dash when the lower half is removed to work on the column. Makes it much easier when trying to line up things if there is at least one item that is not moving around.

Isn't there a hole right in the middle so the screw would go thru the top bracket half, spacer and dash edge and into the brace coming down from the firewall. If no countersunk hole so it inserts from that direction how about the same path from above so it threads into the top half of the bracket.

Thanks Howard, I couldnt see any threads in any of the middle holes, but that sounds right.
Interior is almost done! Just have to put in the rear seatbelts, and cover the rear parcel shelf with green fabric.
The car has many many shades of green.

The Clipper passed inspection today!!! The inspector was actually very impressed with the car. Wooo hoo!
I decided to drive to work afterwards, and everything seems to be doing just fine. Overdrive is working very well. I changed the voltage regulator to an electronic unit from Clover, and am happy to see a very nice constant 14v.
Watching my tach, I get about a 500 rpm drop when overdrive kicks in, which makes 80 kmh (48mph) about 1600 rpm. Still have to get my front end aligned, but now I can drive around without fear of getting a ticket!
It rides much better (softer) now than before the restoration. The roads are quite smooth here, but even expansion joints in the road go by with barely a whisper.
I'm running the 760 American Classics from Coker, and so far am happy.
Now to get some miles accumulated, and finish a few details and start shining up for the Euro meet in June!

I just noticed that the keys for my car were cut at A-1 Lock in Selma Ala 834-1101 many years ago. It's stamped on the keys...Probably at least 20 to 30 years ago....There isn't anybody here from Selma on the forum that knows my car, is there?

I wanted to update a little info on the electronic voltage regulator that I installed. With the "old fashioned" or normal type of regulator I was getting 15v, and I thought that was a little high. I decided to spend the money and try this electronic regulator from Clover systems. It seems to be an enthusiast that makes this product.
DR110 Electronic VR
It is spendy, but if it keeps your battery and electrical system happy, and lasts forever, it would pay off. I could see that my new battery had vented some gas, which I attribute to the 15v.
The VR came with a small booklet and test protocol of the output voltage. The only problem was that I had to cut 1/4 inch off the top of the backing plate to get it to fit on my car. Otherwise installing was easy. I just used the cover plate from an old VR and screwed that on the aluminum plate of the new VR.
First driving impressions:
After startup, I see about 14.2 measured at the cigar lighter, and then about 14.1 after driving for a while. At idle, it sometimes drops to battery voltage, or somewhere in the 13s, but that I attribute to the generator and not the regulator.
One other advantage of this design, is that the cut in voltage is referenced from the battery and not a preset voltage. This turns on the gen as soon as it can make more voltage than what the battery has. That could offer better low rpm performance.
Here are a few pics. I cut the aluminum plate with a hacksaw. I emailed them, and they might change the backing plate design after my feedback.

Going to try and do my alignment myself on sunday. Hope I can get the alignment machine to work with my Car.
