Here are the translations to the Second and Third poster that John posted. I had to ask Eric, to help me out whit the specific names for the instruments.
Thanks to Eric we got the translation done. When I joined the forum I mad a promise to make some scanned copies of a book I have, but unfortunately the scanner my friend has is broken and I don't know when Is going to get a new one. I did some pictures whit the camera so I hope this is better then anything.
Heres some pictures of the GAZ 21 automatic transmission, It is indeed close to the Ford 3-speed Hydromatic.

Thous two GAZ 21 are really nice cars , they should be the second generation models (1958-1962), the first car should be the export version and the second car should be regular model for the Soviet market! Heres a picture of the First generation GAZ 21 model: source: www.volga.ee

The GAZ 22 station wagon is rare these days, it reminds me a
Buick station wagon concept but none the less, dose it make the GAZ 22 less valuable in my eyes!
