Hi all,

As a member of Mid-America Packards and the PAC, I wanted to invite all PAC members to this year's Packard National Meet in Branson, Missouri. We have been working hard to get everything lined up and ready to go, and hope you will come and have a great time. Everyone has probably already seen this year's Registration Form, but for those that have not, it can be downloaded from our Branson website as a pdf file:

branson2009.midamericapackards.org/index.html

My intent is to let you know that we are here to help answer any questions you might have concerning registration, accommodations, events schedule, or other activities.

One of our main objectives this year is to include all our young members, Tomorrow's Packard Owners and otherwise, in the fun. If you are a young Packard enthusiast, or know one, let us help you put together a great week.

We hope to see you in June!!

Jeff

For those with a maritime interest, I believe that Branson MO is also home to one of the better Titanic museums in the country. Am I right, Jeff?

Should be a good time and the room rates are more reasonable than last year and most conferences.

You are indeed correct! The Titanic museum/attraction is one of the closest venues to our host hotel. Both can be accessed from Gretna Road, and are on the same (North) side of US 76. It is perhaps a quarter mile from the Lodge of the Ozarks. We are currently working with the Titanic on discounts for interested visitors.

The Titanic museum is one of the places I wanted to visit the last time I was in Branson, but sadly didn't get a chance to. I'll be going this year though!

G'day Jeff,
A belated to PackardInfo as I see you've made a number of posts on last years meeting prior to the info on this years meet.

And as a Packard owner, and a member of PackardInfo, I invite you to enter your Packard in the Owner Registry together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it.

Thanks for the welcome - I appreciate it. This is one of the nicest forums I have seen, old car or otherwise, and is a lot of fun to be part of.

Your point about the Packard photos and stories is well taken. Asking for the tales behind our Packards is dangerous, for they are winding and lengthy, but uploading some picture can be done much more quickly. We have three Packards - two '55 V-8s, and one Packard Hawk. I purchased my first Packard in 1985, a Patrician, and still own it! I was 23 then and knew I found my dream car. I am now 46, so I have been a Packard owner for half of my life now. That had not occurred to me till just this moment.

Look for my pics and stories elsewhere - again thanks for the welcome!

Jeff,

The stories behind and about our Packards are fascinating and I encourage you to share them with us. Now if you want something really 'winding and lengthy' you need look no further than the Project Blogs here including mine. I for one look forward to reading about yours.
