Lost in the '50's!

Yesterday went to the "Lost in the '50's Museum", near Newcastle, on a Packard Club run originating in Sydney Australia. Had to drive 129kms to get to the start then another 123kms to the Museum itself, although I wasn't the one to come the furthest. 5 Packards on the run with 11 people in total from the club. Interesting collection of '50's US cars as well as some others.
Seems many museums have a Batmobile and a Back to the Future Delorean complete with Flux Capacitor, this one does! And for Aussies, there's just about always a Goggomobile Dart, iconised first in a TV anti-Dart ad by a phone company then in a series of TV ads by a collector car insurance company. Of course there are other Dart cars, best known being the Daimler SP250 Dart sports car and the Dodge Dart but here in Oz the Goggomobile is tops when it comes to Darts! Only 2 Packards at the Museum a low mileage, 1 owner, '52 Patrician from a Nevada Museum(currently with a BTV problem!) and a Gabriel Metal Model Kit as part of the memorabilia adorning the walls. Museum owner has about 100 cars in total with about 65 on display at any one time. Plus he always has cars for sale, constantly importing from the US, after buying at Barrett Jackson, Mecum, other auctions, etc. Out of every 20 bought only about 3 are keepers. the rest are on-sold. Not the Dart! Shannons Dart Below are pic's of some on display that caught my attention. EDIT - Click on pic's to enlarge. "....the Nash is a 48, not a 58 as the title of the pic states"
Keith, I could lie and say it was a slip of my typing finger, instead it was a slip between the brain and the finger! When taking pic's I usually try to take one of the caption displayed with the car so it's easier for later identification, see the pic below. Obviously didn't work this time! Just now, in googling images of '48 then '50 Nash's see that Jay Leno has a '50! Must be a really rare and desirable car!!!!!!

Great photos and very nice to see these cars. Of course, no idea who told the museum the story about the Mercury Turnpike Cruiser... but that's a fantasy. The photo shows a 1958 model with a "back porch" added on there. Hardly the first Turnpike Cruiser built by Ford.
The first Mercury Turnpike Cruiser was actually the 1957 model ...which had several differences from 1958. Anyway, thanks for posting the photos.
