Just returned this afternoon from the beautiful mountains of east-central Arizona. I finally attended my very first "Run to the Pines" car show with my Packard after many years. Micha and I have attended the show for many years (during the restoration) because we vacation up here to escape the desert's heat of southern Arizona.
Getting right to it, I had a blast. So many beautiful cars to enjoy but a trophy wasn't in the cards for my 400 this time. The show was a sell out and there were 550 cars in the field, which made competition very stiff. Within my group, the winners were as follows, '54 Hudson Hornet 1st place, '57 Pontiac Safari wagon 2nd place and '59 Nash Metropolitan 3rd place.
The last picture was from this morning as I was leaving. The sunrise was beautiful as they always are here in Arizona and it felt good to be alive and well!
