Does anyone have a detailed photo of the door panel fastener (clip) for a 1946/47 Packard Clipper part #361929? Thanks

According to the Packard parts books thru 1956--fastener/clip number 361929 was still being used. Anybody have a photo? Thanks

Have been reluctant to post because I can't say for sure which is which. Both types were on various door panels thruout those years. I think the one that is formed sheetmetal might be the early one but .......

The sheet metal clip has a leg that is 3/4 long and wire leg is a little over an inch. The wide portion that retains in the door hole is approx 1/4 inch down from where inside of panel would be on both. The width of the part that fits thru the hole in door and retains is about 5/16 on the sheet metal type and 1/2 on the wire clip. The wire has plenty of give so will squeeze in. U shaped portion that slips thru the opening in the panel will accommodate a 1/8" thickness.

The sheet metal style is the one that I have seen on original earlier door panels up to 1951 or so. Mixed styles after that.

Thanks for the response. I pretty sure the clip on the right in the photo is the correct clip. Having said that , I have seen both styles, and each fits a 5/16 hole. The question still remains which one is 361929?

Thanks

I believe that the one on the right is 361929 which first appeared in 1941 and as noted in post #4 is the only type that I have seen on the earlier cars.

Not sure about the correct clip for specific Yr/model.
However having door panels off of a few Packards from 1930 thru 1956. Pardon I'm getting to detailed, the wire type of clips were used on all I've seen starting about 1935-6.

On my '54, it used only these fasteners for the door panels:

Big Kev-- Your clip looks like the one on the right in Post 3. Is anyone selling these clips?
